VACATION

This just might be the most glorious week of all time...

I am on vacation.

Here is a run-down of my vacation so far:

Friday

Eric and I went to the Virden High School homecoming football game

Saturday

What did I do that day??

Sunday

Church, Lori's shower, then watching the Cubs win for the first time all year

Monday

NOTHING...really I am not sure I did anything, but lay around

Tuesday

Lunch with Nana...that's really about it

Wednesday

Again NOTHING

Thursday

Lunch with Stephie and Barb, work to write my schedule,

organize the basement (still not done!)

Well, that is it so far. Tomorrow is Friday and I really don't have anything planned. Just gonna try to get the basement done and I will be happy!

Day 3...

It seems like nothing is getting accomplished...yet it is. The entire spare room is painted, except the door needs to be done. We got a second coat on the ceiling in our room and one coat of green. I also go the cabinets cleaned out and some kitchen stuff put away in the kitchen. I am getting more excited...as I was putting stuff away and deciding where I wanted stuff it started to feel more like my house. Mom spent the day doing house work. I am not looking forward to that stuff. When I say housework I mean actual work on the house not just cleaning. Tomorrow, Tuesday, and Wednesday I have to work. Then we are off for four days. Let the moving commence!!

New House

We purchased a new house yesterday. Well, new to us!! It is several years old. It has a few issues, which I will talk about as I go through finding and fixing them!

Here is a run-through of what happened yesterday and today.

Friday...

Friday I was supposed to meet up with someone who works for the same company I do for breakfast because they were driving through Springfield. Well, on her way here her car's check engine light light came on and her battery gauge was low so we had to get her to a rental place and to get her car fixed...so no breakfast!

Then we ran back and picked up my checkbook to pay the closing costs on the house, which p.s. when paying closing costs if it is over 500 they can not take a personal check...must be a cashiers check. Got everything taken care of there. Then went to the house and got started painting.

We got the entire spare room primed with almost two coats...and I think that is it. We spent a lot of time making purchases yesterday. Plus I had to take care of some work things so that cut into time along with a very LONG chiropractor appointment!

Today....

Eric's parents dropped off their truck for us to use in the move. We had breakfast at Panera and then went on to the house were we got 1 coat of white and blue in the spare room and the trim done in our bedroom. Really not a lot accomplished on the painting front today. Hopefully we will finish tomorrow. We still have 2 coats of green to go in our room and one more on the trim...then another coat of white and blue in the spare room. Yuck...

I am currently VERY ready to go to bed but am waiting for Eric to get home from work. The poor puppy has been here all by himself all weekend. I feel really bad for him so I don't want to go to bed until Eric gets here so he can stay up.

Speaking of Wrigley...

I was taking a shower this evening...and the puppy decided to get in with me! I usually leave the door open when Eric isn't here so the puppy doesn't freak out thinking he doesn't know where I am. Well, today he decided to lean into the tub and bite at the water as if feel from the shower. I really thought it was pretty funny until I got soap on him. At this point he was so soaked that I decided to just give him a bath. I had to bang on the wall to wake up my sister to get the soap from downstairs. Let me tell you...giving a dog a bath while you are naked is weird!! Also trying to dry him off while naked...equally weird. However, now we are both clean and ready for bed!! :)

I would like you to purchase this for the child I will someday have. I think it would make a great baby shower gift someday!

Also, I would like to thank you...if you want to call it that for my new obsession with this!

I think I am going to write a blog while I am on vacation this week entitled "The only reason I do this is because of Molly!"

Wrigley

I haven't posted about my new puppy!

At the beginning of February we got a new puppy.

Probably something we really should have researched more and thought over more, but one of my worst traits is once I decide I really want something I will do whatever I have to do to get it...but that is another post!

Here is my new puppy when we got him...


What a cutie huh??!! He was so sweet that first night. He slept with us, he was too scared of his new environment to sleep by himself. It took him a while to get used to his kennel, but he is now and is sleeping very well in it at night.

Here is my puppy after I took him to the groomers....except that I shouldn't have, but we won't get into that!


Soon after that my friend Jennifer brought her puppy Bailey and they played so hard this is what happened...



He was a tired puppy!

He is a good puppy for the most part, but he bits sooooooooooo much and pees on the floor, and eats his poop...but other than that he is pretty good. We start puppy classes on Monday. I am hopeful that he will learn a lot and get used to other dogs and MAYBE realize that biting hurts!

You can't tell in this picture how big he has gotten, but I realized it today. When Bailey came over to play when we first got Wrigley, Bailey seemed so much bigger than Wrigley. Bailey seemed like a big dog. Then today when we played Wrigley was SO much bigger than Bailey. Bailey looked so little next to Wrigley, and Wrigley isn't even that big!! So I need to take some more so people can actually see how big he is. I really like this picture though. I think it is super cute.

Wrigley had such a hard day playing that he has rested the entire rest of the day. We went over to Jen's about 11:30 and left about 2:10ish. We got home about 2:30 and slept until 5. Since then when I got up he has just layed around. He is currently sleeping on the floor. Hopefully he will still sleep tonight!

Changes

So...big changes at work. I did get a promotion, but it is very bittersweet because some people lost their jobs. Makes me very sad. I hate when you get used to working directly with someone and then they are just gone. Just like that. I try really hard to distance myself, but really I am just trying to make it easier on myself. I am very sad about the manager that is no longer there. I think we were all working very well together and had learned how to communicate together; which can be a hard thing to do, but we were doing it. We all listened to each other's opinoins and gave appropriate advice.

Anyway I will quit whinning now. No amount of whining or want will change anything that happened.

My new job....

I am now a salaried manager. Which I have mixed feelings about. I have to work more hours, which kinda sucks, but I will get over it. I guess I really don't have anything else to talk about!

Friday Night

Tonight is Friday night and I could have gone out tonight, but instead I am babysitting. I guess I could have gone out afterward, but that won't be till like 10 pm and by then I will have been sitting around the house for quite some time. After I sit around I am really not very good company!

Ayden has been sick tonight, so he has really just sat around with me and watched tv. He usually never just lays with me, so I know he isn't feeling well. I gave him some meds around 8 and it is about 9:45 now and he is giving me lip so he must be feeling better.

Jacob has played on the computer all night, until he started getting mad at it and I had to tell him to turn it off. Then he chilled upstairs.

So nothing all that interesting tonight. Eric and Lynette should both be here pretty soon. I am off all weekend long! I am super excited. I am also pretty sure that it will be going by super quick! We really need to clean because Eric's parents are coming in a few weekends and our house is not anywhere near clean. We really need to work on that! :)

My Dad is driving me nuts about going to his house and picking up his vacuum. He has called me several times about it. I am not sure why he can't just let stuff chill! I will get it when I get it! I know it is bad, but I really don't want to spend half the day driving to and from Thayer.

Well, I guess I am gonna sit here and wait for Eric...

Crap!

Someone parked in my place. Maybe it really wasn't the people in #12. Or maybe they found my blog!

Update on #12

Just in case anyone was wondering...and by anyone I mean no one as nobody reads this. No one has parked in our spot since I went and talked to the people in #12. Coincidence?! I think not!

This is why I work when Eric is at work.

So I am not sitting here bored.

I tried to pay bills, but Eric has taken that over some. Therefore, I am not sure how much to pay some people.

I did get to visit with Josh today for a minute so that was good. Then Eric and I went to dinner at Los Agaves (sp?). I love eating there. Hopefully they stay open forever!

I REALLY want to take some cough medicine and go to bed, but if I do that I will be out forever! I have to work at 12 tomorrow so lets not do that.

Speaking of tomorrow. I switched shifts with another manager for Saturday and Sunday. Like a big paranoid dork I had to text the person I switched with because I was sitting here (alone and bored) thinking about what would happen if she forgot. That the store might not open and I wouldn't know. That I would have to get "that phone call" from the store manager and thus the problem would snowball into none of us being able to switch. I really went crazy! Kinda went through every possible scenario!

This is what I have done with my evening! Hopefully Eric will come home soon so I will have someone else to talk to! :)

Christmas Tree

Today I took down our Christmas tree. Is the middle/end of January to long to leave it up?

Lego Bar

Clearly, my life is pretty boring!

I am sitting here trying to figure out what I could blog about. I shouldn't have to think about it. Things should just flow! :) I think this means that I have no life!

Yesterday was Sunday and I was off all day! I was so happy to have a day off, but I have been sick so I spent a lot of the day moping around. I did a little cleaning. Which is completely necessary because our house is really awful right now! We watched the kids yesterday and they were upstairs playing legos and made this interesting piece of lego art.

It is a freakin bar! Complete with bar stools, cups, and kegs! :) What kid knows how to make a bar! :) Very active imaginations these children!

Today I worked all day. So nothing much to tell there. It was Martin Luther King Jr. Day and I really thought it would be busier than it was, but we were pretty slow. Tomorrow is another day off. Hopefully I will get a lot done around the house. I close one Wednesday so I am really looking forward to the sleeping in I am about to enjoy! :)

Conversation with #12

Someone has been parking in OUR parking space at home. This would not bother me so if our friends and family who have come to visit, and know nothing of the assigned parking, hadn't been harassed by other people in our complex. People have left mean notes on cars, and even honked at my mother for parking in the wrong place. Therefore finding someone parked in our place can be rather upsetting. I haven't said a word for weeks now, nor have I written a nasty note and placed it on their car as was done to us. I thought that eventually they would just figure out that there is assigned parking....didn't happen. I came home tonight and just lost it. So I went over there and asked them if it was their car. They said no. Problem here is that we have seen them go into apt #12 several times now. I KNOW IT IS THEM!!! Anyway. Moral of the story is that they said it wasn't their car, nor do they know who said car belongs to. If they continue to park they I am going to have to be a *itch and call the landlord....

New creation

I am going to try this blogging thing out. I have blogged on other sites before and frankly it hasn't turned out the greatest, but I am gonna give this a go! :) I am not sayin that is going to be anything interesting, but who knows!! :)
